What if We tell you about a village with 400 pairs of Twins? Yes ! You read it right 400 pairs of Twins.

Kodinhi,a very small and remote Village in Kerela State's Malappuram district is still a big unsolved mystery to Researchers,Doctors and Scientists all over the world.

According to a current survey, over 400 pairs of twins are there in this epic village with a population of around 2000 families within it.In year 2008 the Study estimated total number of pairs of twins as 280,thus the number of twins has rapidly increased in the years that followed.While the national average of twin births in India is not more than 9 in 1000 Births, in Kodinhi,the number is as high as 45 in per 1000 births.

In October 2016,a joint team of researchers,Doctors from various institutions including CSIR,KUFOS,University of London and Germany visited the Village to search out the answers to this Miraculous Phenomenon happening since a very long time.

The researchers collected saliva and hair samples from the twins of the village to study their DNA. The study was simultaneously being conducted in Kodinhi, Hung loc commune in South Vietnam, Igbo-Ora in Nigeria and Cándido Godói in Brazil, where the number of twin births is high.

Though Nothing could be proven scientifically that why this miracle is happening ,Prof E Preeetham of KUFOS  said that "While it can be genetic,there are also speculations that a particular element is there in Air and water or soil of village which is causing this phenomenon".

A blue board that reads "Welcome to the God's own Twins Village--Kodinhi”, welcomes visitors to this village. While Science is still confused what is the exact reason behind this unnatural happening. Thus until we find out a valid reason or a theory as solution of this MYSTERY we can call it a God's Miracle Indeed !
